The position is a member of the Global Services Finance shared services team in Delhi. The finance associate will be closely working with the client & capex manager. This team provides data management, analysis and business partnering support to global client, global analysis, global real estate, local offices & finance teams across BCG.
The Finance associate is primarily responsible for day-to-day finance operations, analysis, reporting, and support to the lead within the client & capex space. The role will include, but not be limited to, support in the following key areas.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
Client processing, data support and analysis:
Support local office consulting and finance teams in managing client data base including but not limited to setting up Clients, Business units in financial systems,
Facilitating changes in the system in case of client org changes, mergers/acquisitions and other details
Own client mailbox and manage the inflow of requests within an agreed timeline
Working closely with the Global Client Team Manager in managing the list of Client Coordinating Officer (CCO) for top clients on an ongoing basis
Supporting local offices, finance teams and client team on client data analysis and reporting metrics like net client charges, client billings, practice areas, projects, length of service etc.
Capex support and analysis:
Develop understanding of the CAPEX process
Provide operational support in managing the capex mailbox by tracking CAPEX requests, setting up and managing users per approval matrix and setting up offices/office groups
Support offices in raising CAPEX requests in the system and effectively coordinate with Global Real Estate and IT teams for its approval
Support Global Planning Manager and Finance lead in monthly/quarterly/annual reporting on CAPEX spend and performance vs. budget
Working with systems team on continuous improvement in the capex approval, tracking and reporting processes
Assist various other initiatives and projects as they arise
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
The ideal candidate will possess both the technical qualifications for the role as well as other intangible attributes.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics; CA, CPA, ICWA or MBA preferred, with experience and strong interest in accounting concepts and reporting & analysis
2-4 years relevant work experience
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Analytical mindset with willingness to provide a wide range of financial services from routine tasks to intricate financial management data
MS Excel, Word proficiency and adaptable to several software applications
Systems experience preferred: Tableau, Alteryx, Hyperion, Business Objects and other comparable systems
Ability to work in fast paced environment with multiple priorities and deliverables
Strong accuracy and rigorous attention to detail
Ability to synthesize data and consistent attention to detail

YOU'LL WORK WITH
The position is a member of the Global Services Finance shared services team whose key customers include Functional Finance, Global Analysis, Global Planning, Global Accounting & Control Finance teams. The team falls under the direction of the Global Services Finance Director. The position is built around teamwork and meeting customers’ needs. The team works jointly on projects discussing output and issues, sharing hypotheses, and iterating the analysis.
