Global C&G Director of Strategy & Operations will partner with the Global Head C&G Strategy & PMO to provide strategic direction and coordinate business planning processes and lead key initiatives and projects across C&G, ensuring organizational alignment and seamless cross-functional / divisional execution. The Global Director will be responsible for defining strategic content and communications, performance monitoring and reviews, driving business excellence, managing ad-hoc business needs and day-to-day business operations for C&G.

Major Accountabilities (Describe the principal outcomes ?5-7? of the role)

Strategic Planning & Execution

•Support the development of content, framework, timelines and governance for the annual C&G Strategic Plan ensuring alignment across OBU, GDD, NIBR, TRD and GDD

•Support the integrated cross-divisional Budget/LF1/LF2/5YSP planning process, coordinating closely with Finance and the Strategic Pillars Leads to ensure a united view on overall C&G activities across OBU, GDD, NTO and NIBR

•Collaborate with the C&G Leadership team and senior leaders across C&G to define objectives and key priorities to deliver on C&G strategy

•Define strategic content as well as lead cross-functional and divisional projects/initiatives to ensure aligned strategy and execution across C&G

•Support the development and implementation of organizational strategies to ensure a best in class transversal organization

•Manage highly complex set of cross-functional/divisional stakeholders through effective influencing skills, instrumental for a well-integrated C&G organization. Influence overall business strategy and decisions within C&G and proactively recommend adjustments to align with global strategy

Operations

•Support C&G Leadership team in tracking and reporting on progress of execution against objectives and strategic priorities. Creation and continuous improvement of holistic performance monitoring tools across C&G, seamlessly integrating with OBU, GDD, NTO, NIBR (e.g., scorecards, reports)

•Lead the coordination and development of key communications and strategic documents for Senior Leaders and forums (e.g., IR, ECN Report, External presentations)

•Support preparation and execution of business reviews, SteerCos and other meetings requested by the Global Head of Strategy & PMO (agenda preparation, content, minutes, action plans, follow up)

•Foster a culture of business excellence by continuously driving efficiency through innovation, best practices sharing and supporting cross-functional process improvement initiatives

•Consult with partners on key industry trends / leading practices to help solve complex and emerging challenges and opportunities

People

•Partner with P&O and Communications to develop and implement strategic internal communications plan and activities (e.g. Town Halls) to help achieve business strategy through informed, aligned and engaged associates

•Drive team effectiveness and cohesiveness by setting and communicating clear expectations on deliverables, roles and responsibilities

•Foster a culture of agile way of working by responding and adapting to changes in priorities in a dynamic, flexible and collaborative way

•Build trusting relationships with team members

Minimum requirements

•University degree with an advance degree in science and/or business preferred - MBA/ PhD

Experience:
•8+ years relevant experience (e.g., sales, marketing, market access, strategy & operations) acquired at healthcare companies (oncology pharma appreciated but not necessary), or health IT and/or health manufacturing/logistics/supply chain, and top-tier management consulting (e.g., McKinsey Associate Principal or Partner) is required.
•Ideally: Knowledge of the disease areas within the Cell therapy space with strong leadership and communication skills and an ability to translate analytic skill into strategic vision of relevance to internal and external key stakeholders
•Ability to work entrepreneurially and lead cross-functionally in a matrix environment
•Ability to communicate succinctly, effectively, and motivate team alongside having a persuasive and credible presentation style at all levels of organization
•Outstanding process/project management skills
•Comfortable with ambiguity/uncertainty and excellent analytical skills and ability to draw insights/derive viable strategic options
•Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial skills with emphasis on innovative thinking and effective collaboration
•Ability to present and interact with senior management; demonstrated political savvy
•Team facilitation skills that can help with objective setting for the team and the collective achievement of the objectives
•High level or learning agility and people agility

Languages: English (fluent). Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Travel: limited (up to 10-20%)
