The Director, GSM Sourcing Strategic Planning plays an essential role in supporting the growth of Nike’s business. This role works directly with the senior leadership across the Sourcing organization and GSM leaders to develop and execute sourcing strategies to support Nike’s growth.
Success in this role requires the GSM Sourcing Strategic Planning Director to deeply understand both the sourcing and manufacturing business as well as the broader Nike business. The role is cross-functional, both within GSM and beyond. The Director will be charged with helping us to drive clarity around strategic priorities for GSM Sourcing while elevating the way we work to ensure maximum impact. The role requires a structured but flexible thinker and outstanding communicator who is comfortable with ambiguity, working cross-functionally, and influencing.

Fully own end-to-end project oversight on all but the most complex projects, Independently driving complex, cross-functional, business-critical work within and beyond sourcing
Scope, plan, and lead execution of research and analytical support for strategic initiatives and special projects
Drive seamless strategic planning process and proactively coordinate across milestones and deliverables, leading development of functional sourcing strategic plan and contributing to GSM strategic plan
Act as sounding board and trusted advisory partner to senior business partners
Confidently and effectively communicate with Senior Leaders, building clear consensus and influencing thinking at senior level; establish track record of respect, credibility, and personal rapport with senior leaders
Become a recognized expert on GSM sourcing strategy, effectively representing the business in wide variety of settings
Demonstrate excellent team leadership skills, with direct responsibility for managing one direct report
Bachelor's degree; MBA or advanced degree is preferred
Minimum 8 years' total experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, corporate development, investment banking, finance or related fields (6+ years of work experience with MBA)
Ability to shape and drive strategic agendas, inclusive of strategic visioning, expert data synthesis, and high-profile communications (compelling, high impact storyteller)
Ability to lead cross-functional and dedicated teams, provide project management expertise, and to manage multiple projects at once
Excellent problem structuring and strategic problem-solving skills
Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
Superior interpersonal and team skills
Have a strong bias for action
