The FP&A Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of business performance reporting and analysis of the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements for China Pharmaceutical and Consumer OTC business, one of the fastest growing Pharma operating company in Janssen sector. This includes leading forecast cycles and driving process improvements and standardization in accordance with SigniFi Program. Additional responsibilities include playing a critical role of championing and leading global and regional initiatives in Standardization and Simplification, reinforcing FP&A process improvements within Finance and across the business, deploying Central Finance (SAP 4HANA), Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and Finance Quick Win (FQW) intiatives in respective market.
This position will have the responsibility of leading four direct reports and is responsible for performance management, development and coaching as well as monitoring team performance against goals and objectives.
Strong partnership with China Pharm & Consumer OTC business unit finance team and CFO by providing all financial analytics/ insights enabling delivery of plans and forecasts, identifying regional opportunities, as well as supporting financial & commercial presentations
Provide insight led standard and ad hoc analytical support for market consolidation
Reporting & Planning
Prepare monthly performance decks and BP/Forecast decks adding first line commentary to enable framing by the Business Unit Finance team for the region
Support Regional Office requirements
Deliver consolidated financial Planning & Forecasting analytics work products (including financial forecast)
Deliver balance sheet and cash flow forecasting
Lead and coordinate the financial planning calendar as well as liaising with BUF and Regional Office on operational improvements. Co-ordinate and consolidate with global functions, supply chain finance, R&D finance, global services team & Systems teams on all key deadlines and process changes
Active participation in SigniFi program, be a strong Change Agent for COE Pharm team – adhere to global process standards and incorporate planned process changes
He/She should have the ability to interact with numerous teams and leaders through in-person meetings and presentations and will play an integral role in shaping processes and controls, with the preferred candidate with strong J&J process knowledge and cross-tier finance experience
Design and lead operational improvement activities together with other AP Pharm COE team, including change management
Assist with training team members
Ensure policies and procedures are followed
Ad hoc/continuous improvement projects including documentation review and update
Lead and drive the development plans of a team of 5 people, as well as being an active contributor to all succession planning and talent discussions at a sector COE level
Participate in functional or career development training
Support recruiting, on-boarding, training of new team members
Lead or participate in status or team meetings and provide updates to leadership
Required Education: A minimum of a Bachelor s degree is required, preferably with a major in Accounting, Economics or Finance. Master s/MBA degree is preferred. A CPA, CMA or other financial certifications are preferred.
Required Years of Related Experience: minimum 8 Years
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong Microsoft Office, Finance and Accounting knowledge, good knowledge in ERPs (SAP) and FP&A technologies (i.e. TM1; Hyperion; etc). PowerPoint deck creation/storytelling experience with good framing and presentation skills.
Language: English, Mandarin speaking capability will be advantageous (Significant amount of China stakeholder management)
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Solid experience in FP&A area, 3+ years in manager role with FP&A experience is a plus
Excellent communication skills with the ability to flex inter personal style appropriate to different levels and partners
Strong influencer, independent thinking, long term vision and strong planning/prioritization are critical to success
Highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and proven leadership capabilities
Proven ability to effectively manage people, with a consistent track record of elevating employee/team performance, is required

Experience of working in Pharmaceutical industry is a plus
